Concentrated Solar Thermal Power Using Fresnel Technology
Solatechs designs, builds and operates solar plants for thermal energy production using its proprietary technologies in the field of CSP.
The in-house developed technologies are based on the principle known as Fresnel mirrors which brings many advantages: competitive cost of steam, modular conception, robustness, high local content and automatic operation
How the Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) linear Fresnel plant work?
The Linear Fresnel technology uses long, flat and slightly curved mirrors to focus sunlight onto a linear receiver located at a common focal point of the reflectors. The receivers runs parallel to and above the reflectors and collects the heat to heat/boil water/oil in the tubes. The reflectors make use of the Fresnel lens effect, which allows for a concentrating mirror with large aperture and short focal length.
